While a very common preservative used in personal care products, more recent research indicates the possibility of parabens acting as a “xenostrogen agent”. This means that they can imitate estrogen in the body and run the risk of causing hormonal imbalances. While studies on parabens are not conclusive, our formulations include safer alternatives nonetheless.

In its stead, our formulation uses natural plant oils and butters to deliver soft, smooth, and well-conditioned hair. Silicone-free products are a top-of-mind choice for people with curly hair.

Our products do not have sulfates as part of their formulations. Sulfates are highly efficient cleaners, to the point that they can sometimes over cleanse the hair. They can strip off the natural oils and leave the scalp feeling dry, itchy, and irritated.
